MindMate is a hub of information all around mental health. It is brimming with helpful tips, advice and signposts to different help and services. If you haven’t heard of them before, you definitely need to check out their website or have a look on their Youtube channel.
MindMate run a fantastic scheme where people under 25 in Leeds can write blogs and take part in recorded podcasts. You can get involved in different ways to help reduce stigma as well as raising awareness of mental health and wellbeing to help young people look after themselves and find support if they need it. If this sounds like something that you, or someone you know, would be great at then get in touch with Liz Neill from Common Room using the email listed below.

We want to give a big thanks to Kim, a MindMate ambassador, who has written the following post for MindMate and Child Friendly Leeds. It’s all around the topic of reaching out for support and starting conversations, helping us raise awareness for Wish 1…
” Friends that are caring and supportive are great, and hanging out with friends can lift our low mood or anxiety or even just be a distraction to stresses in life. “
