Spreading Joy This Season in South Leeds: Champions Community partner with Scent Salim for Local Children

Through practical activities and direct engagement with employees, students will gain confidence and motivation to pursue a creative career.

Wish 11 – Inspiring careers: Apprentice ambassadors & student volunteering

The Employment and Skills Service proudly supports the Apprenticeship Ambassador Network, a community of current and former apprentices who share their experiences to inspire the next generation. By telling their stories, ambassadors help students understand real career pathways while showcasing the pride and impact of apprenticeships. This network also strengthens connections between employers, apprentices, and education providers.

Wish 11 – Leeds Business Anchors pilot: Key learnings from work experience week

Leeds Business Anchors is a partnership of large businesses in Leeds that come together to increase their collective contribution to the city and identify practical interventions they can take as a group that will deliver local benefits. In June 2025, five members of Leeds Business Anchors delivered a pilot work experience week, which was ringfenced for care-experienced students.
