Supporting young carers in schools

A free event for school staff and those working with young people in Leeds – Wednesday 4 December
Practical ways to identify and support young carers in schools
“…young carers still don’t get an assessment of their needs or access to the support they and their families need. The consequences can be serious and long lasting…We are committed to ensuring that young people are protected from excessive or inappropriate caring responsibilities.”
The Secretary of State, Department for Education (Rt Hon. Michael Gove)
Wednesday 4 December, 1.30 – 4.30pm at Carr Manor Community School Primary Phase (Stainbeck Lane entrance)
