We want Leeds to be the best city to grow up in, and to make this happen, the city is bringing together people, places and organisations to make Leeds a child friendly city.

Could you play your part? Are you or your organisation already doing great work for children and young people?

We’d love to hear from you and share your work more widely, or help with inspiration on where to start. We hope this film inspires you to take action and add your support.

Find out more and how to get involved at www.leeds.gov.uk/childfriendlyleeds or email childfriendlyleeds@leeds.gov.uk

For events and opportunities for children and young people to take part, see www.breezeleeds.co.uk.

This clip is from a film created through workshops with children and young people from Blenheim Primary School, Chapel Allerton Improvised Family Theatre and more, facilitated by Leeds City Council and Studio 12, with support from British Gas.

Children and young people said what they enjoyed most about making the film:

“When everyone got to have a go and it was really cool because I’ve never made a film in my life! I like the animations.”

“Everybody got a part to say.”

“When we did the pictures and they came to life.”
