What is your child friendly Leeds pledge?
We’ve put together a number of ways that organisations can get involved in child friendly Leeds, by way of a number of pledges that can be completed. Below, are just a few examples:
- Become a business ambassador of child friendly Leeds
- Become a supporter of child friendly Leeds
- Follow child_Leeds and #childfriendlyLeeds on Twitter. Retweet on child friendly Leeds behalf
- Get involved in educational programmes in a school near you
- Encourage staff to become school governors
- Offer work experience for young people age 16-25 years
- Offer apprenticeships for young people age 16-25 years
- ‘Foster a banner’ and support looked after children
- Encourage staff to become Independent Visitors
- Sponsor a child friendly project (youth club, play scheme, sporting or cultural activity)
- Sponsor a bus route to major attractions over the holidays
- Support breastfeeding employees
- Consider how unused resources could be contributed to children’s projects
- Sponsor a plaque for schools to say they are child friendly
- Support a holiday play scheme in the local community over the summer holidays
- Give children and young people the opportunity to have their say about your business and products
- Involve children and young people in developing your business
