Leeds libraries’ Mythical Maze summer reading challenge

Keeping children engaged in learning can be difficult, especially over the summer holidays. The Mythical Maze summer reading challenge is a fun way to improve your child’s literacy whilst getting them involved in some fantastic activities and stories!
Mythical Maze is a national campaign organised by the Reading Agency, with the involvement of the Leeds Library Service. Over the course of the six week holidays children are challenged to borrow or download six books from the library.
When they sign up for the challenge children receive a free poster as well as scratch and sniff stickers to decorate their poster! They receive more prizes as they progress along the challenge and read more books.
Children aged 4 to 12 years can choose to read any books as part of the challenge and taking part is free, just visit your local library to sign up. If you download the free Mythical Maze app you will see the stickers come to life in 3D!
Once children have signed up to the challenge at their local library, they can keep track of their progress online, as well as being able to play fun interactive learning games, read reviews and recommendation of books from other children all over the UK.
Leeds libraries look forward to seeing you over the summer at their many free themed events!
