Time to apply for UK Youth Parliament!

Do you know any young people aged 11 to 18 years who would like to become a Member of Youth Parliament in Leeds?

We are electing our four new Members of Youth Parliament in Leeds. The Voice and Influence Team are holding a briefing session for all young people interested in applying on Tuesday 8 December, 5:30-7pm at Leeds Civic Hall.

The UK Youth Parliament is run by young people for young people, the UKYP provides opportunities for young people aged 11-18 years old to use their voice in creative ways to bring about social change. There are currently over 600 elected Members of Youth Parliament (MYP) in the UK.

The deadline for applications to be submitted to the Voice and Influence Team is the 11 December 2015, with shortlisting taking place soon after. The finalists will then have to campaign through January 2016 with voting taking place on line.

The finalists will be invited to an awards night on in February 2016 to announce who the members of UK Youth Parliament for Leeds will be for 2016-18.
